5 No-Nonsense Goals To Building A Successful Drone Business

Goldman Sachs Research predicts that the commercial drone market will be $13 billion dollars between 2016-2020. Industries including construction and film/TV will use drones. And if you want to run a drone business then you need to set goals to be successful.

Here are the goals to consider setting:

1) Get certified.

The FAA Part 107 rules mandate that if you take any compensation for flying a drone that you must have FAA Small Unmanned Aerial System (sUAS) certification. There are many schools to assist you with preparing for your test.

2) Setup the business.

You need to get your business affairs in order. The affairs include insurance, required licenses, and business structure. The business structure means setting it up as an LLC vs. Sole Proprietorship. Please talk with a CPA to determine the best type of business setup you need.

3) Systemize the operations.

A benefit of a drone business is that it doesn’t have to be just you. You can hire pilots. But to do this, you must run it like McDonald’s. Meaning you have to systemize all of your processes. Your systems will make it easier to hire help. And even if you keep it a solo operation having a system will make you more productive.

4) Determine what success is.

I know a lot of business owners. Many of the struggle because they don’t know what they want. They try to hard at trying to have the fame of a business owner because it’s the current fad. They would have an easier time if they could be specific about what they want. And be humble about what success would look like. For example, instead of thinking having a national drone business, perhaps it’s better to have a small business that keeps the roof over the head, a vacation and flexible hours that lets you see all of the kids’ plays and soccer games.

5) Get customers.

If you don’t have customers then you don’t have a business, you only have a hobby. I’m in 2 different Facebook groups with small business owners. They are often in the start-up phase. And they are very passionate about their new business. But they fail to understand how to get customers. As a drone business owner, you will need to spend the time to learn how to find customers. Sometimes this will be direct marketing to the end user. And sometimes it will be about building relationships to connectors such as roofing construction firms who can refer you business for inspections.

Goals without action are just dreams. And dreams are beautiful, but they don’t lead to success. To make sure you have success with your goals you need to track them. And have an accountability partner. The accountability partner can be an official business partner. Or it can be publicly stating them on Facebook. If you don’t want to share these goals on your personal Facebook wall, then come join the “Choose Yourself” group. And state them there. If that’s still too much publicity, then there is one more trick. Sign up for Evernote. Evernote lets you keep a private journal. Journal your progress there.

And you want to make sure you make small progress on each goal every week. In particular, ensure that you have your certification and proper insurance. Otherwise, you may not be able to operate legally.

We are just at the beginning of the drone business revolution. And it is important to prepare now to take advantage of it. Make sure to get your certification, your business affairs in order and build out your systems. These goals will make it easier to get customers and have a successful business.

Sharing Successful Content in Your Small Business

You definitely have a way with words. If you didn’t, you would not have gotten nearly as far as you have up to this point. However, it is one thing to write great, effective content but it is another thing entirely to share that content so that it successfully converts your target audience.

You must work toward your ultimate goal
The truth is that your challenges may be different if you have a small business than if you have a mid-size or a large business. You need to understand how to “speak” to your target audience members and how to eventually get them to buy what you are selling. You are a great writer and your content touches people in all sorts of emotional ways. However, someone who owns (or another key player) a large business may not be able to take what you are saying and adapt it to their particular situation.

As you read the content that other businesses post, you are not necessarily comparing apples to apples. If those businesses are not small, their approach and how they present the content will probably be very different from the way that you will do it. However, one thing that all businesses have in common is the necessity to share top-quality content with other people.

At this point, you are a great writer and your content touches people in all sorts of emotional ways. However, someone who owns (or another key player) a large business may not be able to take what you are saying and convert it to their particular situation.

Engagement is key, of course. If you can’t captivate your target audience and hold their interest over a prolonged period of time, you won’t get very far at all. Of course, before you even get to that point, you need to make sure that you have identified the most appropriate target audience for your business.

One of the big differences between a large- (or medium-) size business and a small business is that the larger businesses have a much larger budget from which to draw. Your business strategy much be extremely solid and your content must speak to people who can relate to who you are and to what you are offering.

Always make sure that your content is relevant
Not only does your content have to be relevant to your target audience but it also has to be relevant to your particular business. In some respects, that is more important than any amount of money that you either have or don’t have.

Your success as a small-business owner may have nothing to do with money. However, that is not to say that there is no price to pay. The cost is in time and effort on your part. If you want to become successful, you will have to work at it and to make sure that you share with your target audience members everything that they want and need. If you speak their language, they will respond positively to what you are telling them.

An important point to make here is the fact that you must be able to clearly express the concept of where you want to go with your company as well as what you want your target audience to do to help make that happen. Of course, it all comes down to the relationship, as it always does. You must build the relationship before you can make anything else happen. That is your next step after identifying exactly who your client (or future client) actually is.

Make your offerings appealing to your target audience
Your basic principles and what you stand for are set in stone; however, how you express those principles and your values are not. You can express them in any number of ways, depending on exactly who you are trying to reach.

In fact, you probably shouldn’t express yourself in exactly the same way each and every time because it may give other people the idea that you are stagnant and you certainly don’t want them to view you that way. If you mix it up, people will continue to be interested in what you have to say.

The more you engage them and share with them and the deeper your relationship becomes, the better your chances are that those people will become loyal clients who will stick with you and your business for a very long time. Remember that before you can sell anything, you need to build relationships and you can effectively do that by sharing top-quality, relevant content.

Content is king and it will always be king. No matter what size business you have, your content is critical to your success because it is the most essential connection between you and your target audience. Sharing top-quality content is the way that you establish an emotional/human connection with your target audience members. Once that connection has been established, you can begin to build a solid, enduring, mutually beneficial relationship together.

Electric Razor – Investing in a Good Quality Men’s Razor

A lot of people buy disposable razors to use for hair removal on their bodies. Men, however, seem to do this more often than women. That may be because most men do not want to shop around for a quality razor, or they do not want to pay the price for one. With that in mind, a good electric razor is well worth the investment, and it is something you should consider for the future. Here are a few reasons why all men should spend the time to find a good razor for their faces. A little money will go a long way for your face.

When you think about all of the money that you shell out for disposable razors over time, an electric razor will essentially pay for itself. Some may argue that the high end razor is going to cost money in electricity as well, but most razors barely use any energy at all to function. Disposables are also very wasteful because they consist of a ton of plastic. If you throw hundreds of them away every year, you can easily lead to a cost for someone in the future.

A good electric razor is going to give you the shave that you actually want. If you want a really close shave from all angles, you can get that with a high end razor. You can also avoid the dreaded cuts that often come from disposable razors as those are mostly due to bad blades. A high end razor will have blades that can gently pull hair away from the face and shave it off. You can spare yourself injury and the embarrassment of going to work with a face full of bloody tissue.

When you think about all of the benefits that come from one electric razor, it is well worth the investment. You may have to pay a lot of money for one up front, but that one razor may be able to last you a decade or more if you use it right. Whenever you spend the money on quality, you will not have to constantly replace what you buy. You can find a variety of electric razors on the market nowadays, so all you have to do is look for one that you would want. Then you will be able to get your face looking the best that it possibly can.

An electric razor is very handy and I suggest you get one.
